The method involves passing a single length of spring strip (10) with several sections (11) in sequence through a process of successive bending and bending back of each section with adjustable radii. The thickness of the material and other bending-related data are detected during the passage of the material and before bending and used to correct the setting of the bending and bending back radii. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: an arrangement for producing curved sections of spring strip, especially for use as flat beams for windscreen wipers.
