The prop connecting ring has an insertion fastener (80) which is a wedge bar inserted into the detention holes of the left and right half ring bodies (40,50) for latching the front ends of the half ring bodies with each other. When the connecting ring is fitted on a prop, the two clamping faces of the half ring bodies and the abutting face serve to clamp and bind the prop. Each of the half ring bodies has insertion holes (42,52) of predetermined number. The rear ends of the half ring bodies are pivotally connected with each other, such that the half ring bodies are pivotally rotated about the pivot sections for opening and closing operation. The clamping faces of the two half bodies are arranged opposite each other for clamping the prop.
