PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desk with a movable top board which eliminate the fear of accidental movement of the top board during the period of the normal operation, the wiring work or the like. SOLUTION: Receivers 25, able to mutually engage or disengage, are arranged respectively on both support arms 5a and 5b of a desk body 1 and a top board 6 and a rear part engaging part 24a and a front part engaging part 24b are installed on a lever member 30. The receivers 25 are built at least at the front and rear positions in the longitudinally movable range of the top board 6 so as to let them engage the rear part engaging part 24a and the front engaging part 24b. Thus, the top board 6 can be fixed made unmovable longitudinally thereby enabling effectively avoiding of accidental movement of the top board during the periods of the normal operation and the wiring work.
