The method involves receiving a facsimile or fax (104) sent to a telephone number, responding to receiving the fax by converting it to a printable format, packaging the converted fax into a network transmission protocol language, identifying a URL corresponding to the telephone number and identifying an embedded web server (116) in a printer (114) and communicating the packaged fax to the web server for printing.
