The printing mechanism has both blowing and suction devices formed by chambers (6.3, 6.4) inside the supply cylinder (2.3). The chambers are in fluid connection with the vicinity of the jacket surface of the supply cylinder. The printing mechanism is part of an offset sheet printing press. The chambers may extend over the entire width of the supply cylinder.
