PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To illuminate a specific part inside the body cavity such as the abdominal cavity intensively or in a wide range if necessary by forming two illumination windows at the tip of the inserting part of a lighting device and dislocating the illumination light going out of one illumination window in the axial direction. SOLUTION: Two illumination windows 17 and 18 are formed in the axial direction of a tip side pipe 15 connected via a joint part 16 to a base end side pipe 14 in the inserting part 11, and the illumination light is irradiated from first and second light guides 19 and 21 in the lighting windows 17 and 18 respectively. The first illumination window 17 is located on the tip side, and the position of the outgoing illumination light from the first illumination window 17 is fixed. The second illumination window 18 located on the base end side apart from the first illumination window 17 is long in the axial direction, and the position of the outgoing illumination light from the second light guide 21 can be moved in the axial direction of the tip side pipe 15.
