PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for restricting development of surface flaw in a cold-rolled product when a thin steel plate is produced by using an aluminum-killed steel having high nitrogen concentration as a blank. SOLUTION: When the thin steel plate is produced by continuously casting the aluminum-killed steel containing <=0.1 mass% C, <=0.5 mass% Mn, 0.01-0.08 mass% Al and >=0.01 mass% N and successively, applying hot-rolling and cold- rolling, the continuously cast slab is once cooled to <=A3 transformation point.
