PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film forming method, by which a hardened film having a smooth appearance is easily formed even on the surface of a base material having a complicated shaped surface in a film forming method using a photosetting type coating material. SOLUTION: The film forming method includes a process performed by applying the photosetting type coating material on the base material, hardening with the irradiation with light without coating the resultant film surface and removing an unhardened part with a solvent.
