ADSORBENT AND ITS PRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fibrous adsorbent having a large adsorption capacity. SOLUTION: The adsorbent comprises porous glass fibers having pores 1-50Åin average pore diameter formed by acid-processing glass fibers of E glass, etc. A chemical adsorbent such as hydroxylamine phosphate is preferably carried on the surfaces of the porous glass fibers. Especially, one cycle consists of the step of causing the fibers to carry hydroxylamine phosphate and to carry polyphosphoric acid, and the cycle is repeated several times to fully accomplish carrying processing.
