Preparation of (per)fluoroalkylperfluorophosphates (I) with mono- to tri-valent cations, especially lithium (Li), sodium (Na), potassium (K), magnesium (Mg), rubidium (Rb), cesium (Cs), aromatic heterocyclic ammonium, phosphonium, aminophosphonium, triaminocarbonium, triarylcarbonium or tropylium cations, comprises reacting a fluoroalkylphosphorane (II) with a metal or nonmetal fluoride, with exclusion of solvents. Preparation of (per)fluoroalkylperfluorophosphates of formula Mn+(PFx(CyF2y+1-zHz)6-x)n<-> (I) with mono- to tri-valent cations, especially lithium (Li), sodium (Na), potassium (K), magnesium (Mg), rubidium (Rb), cesium (Cs), aromatic heterocyclic ammonium, phosphonium, aminophosphonium, triaminocarbonium, triarylcarbonium or tropylium cations, comprises reacting a fluoroalkylphosphorane (II) with a metal or nonmetal fluoride, with exclusion of solvents. x = 1-6; y = 1-8; z = 0 to 2y+1; n = 1-3; Mn+ = a mono- to tri-valent cation, especially Li, Na, K, Mg, Rb, Cs, aromatic heterocyclic cation, NR<1>R<2>R<3>R<4>, PR<1>R<2>R<3>R<4>, P((NR<1>R<2>)kR<3>mR<4>4-k-m), C(NR<1>R<2>)(NR<3>R<4>)(NR<5>R<6>), C(aryl)3 or tropylium; R<1-6> = H or 1-8 C alkyl or aryl, which may be partly substituted by F, Cl or Br. |
