The air flow guide device guides an air flow (10) through plates (6) fitted to the outlet (7) of a device such as a fan (4) which creates the air flow. The outlet is at least partly, possibly completely, bounded by a side wall extending conically inwards in the direction of the air flow. The side walls may be in the form of an outlet cone which can be installed as a single unit.
