PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight planting block easy to handle, adaptable to wide area such as on a building rooftop or the veranda of an apartment house without using soil, and having good processability so as to easily conform to laying area. SOLUTION: This plantation block A1 or A2 is such as to be formed by engaging a single water-receiving tray 1 of a size equivalent to or half that of a sheet of Tatami with intermediate support tables 2 and plantation boards 3 of porous ceramic. Several or several tenth of such blocks are combined together and laid according to the area of a setting place. The main part of each of the blocks A1 or A2 has a cross-sectional structure comprising the water-receiving tray 1, the intermediate support tables 2, and the plantation boards 3, however has a cross-sectional structure of the outer periphery where the water-receiving tray 1 is superposed with dense boards 3' of porous ceramic and the plantation boards 3, therefore the plantation block A1 or A2 is easy to make a cutting work, being easily workable in compliance with the shape of a setting place. |
