PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a coating film, by which the coating film of a thermoplastic material is simply formed on a coating zone of the inner circumferential surface of a cylindrical body. SOLUTION: A nozzle 11 for discharging a molten paste of the thermoplastic material in a molten state is arranged to face the inner circumferential surface 41 of the cylindrical body. The nozzle 11 is moved along a rotary central line CL of the cylindrical body 5 while rotating the cylindrical body 5 and discharging the molten paste from the nozzle 11. The molten paste applied on the inner circumferential surface 41 of the cylindrical body 5 is spread by the centrifugal force applied on the cylindrical body 5. The viscosity of the molten paste, rotation speed of the cylindrical body 5 and the moving speed of the nozzle 11 are selected so that the molten paste discharged from the nozzle 11 is not scattered to places other than the coating zone 47.
