Kite comprises a support (1) made from a plastic batten or other suitable workpiece and fixed in or around a pressure point of the drive surface (2) between the front bolt rope and the rear bolt rope. Two longitudinal supports made from an aerodynamically molded material are fixed close to or on the lateral ends of the drive surface. The ends of the plastic battens are fixed in a profiled section position between the drive surface and the longitudinal supports. Two fixing points (6) are arranged on the lower side of the longitudinal supports. Floating drive bodies (5) made of a foam material arranged on the outer longitudinal supports are fixed so that the front and rear bolt ropes do not lie on the ground or water surface and wind can flow freely around them.
