The invention relates to a collapsible lounger (1) comprising a number of parts (2, 3) provided with legs (5, 7) and an adjustable back (4). According to the invention, the lounger (1) substantially comprises only two parts (2, 3), the back (4) belonging to one (3) of the parts (2, 3) and being hinged thereto so as to be adjustable between a substantially horizontal backward position and a substantially vertical position, while the two parts (2, 3), with the back (4) in the horizontal backward position, have approximately the same length, and the lounger (1), with the back (4) in the horizontal backward position, is collapsible as two parts (2, 3) lying one on top of the other by means of a hinge construction which interconnects the two parts (2, 3). Such a lounger (1) is compact and sturdy, easy to operate, and comfortable in use. The hinge construction preferably comprises a cross beam (8) which is fastened with hinging possibility to each ((2), (3)) of the two component parts (2, 3) of the lounger (1).
