Mobile phone network communication method, allows a contacted party to confirm receipt of missed call

A receipt function (3) is executed if the contacted party does not answer the call, so that the contacted party is given the choice of sending a confirmation via network signalling to the caller that they have in fact received the call. The receipt function is integrated into the mobile phone (1) and comprises a noise generating process and a receipt issuing process. An Independent claim is also included for the communication system used to carry out this method, including a a receipt function that causes the phone to emit a noise after a given period of time following the unanswered call, and a network receipt function (4) with a device for transmitting the receipt from the contacted party to the original caller.
