The electronic system 11 is constructed in a form for rack mounting and has a number of slots with back-plane connectors 12 for insertion of circuit boards. Circuits may be constructed in an experimental form 16, in which the integrated elements are not in final soldered form. Such boards may be tested by connecting into the system using a connector card 16". The rear of the housing has a number of connection points 18 for a range of different voltages.
