PURPOSE: A mobile messenger service system and method is provided to offer a messenger service for enabling a user to exchange a position information, a clip, a message, or an e-mail with other users over a wireless communication network. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of a user subscribing for a messenger server as a member by inputting personal data such as a name, an ID, a password, a mobile phone number and others, and requesting a mobile messenger service to the server(S201), the member searching for a friend by inputting the ID, the name and the phone number of the friend in a friend searching menu or to make friends by inputting a sex, a residence area, an occupation, an interest and others in a friend making menu(S202), the member registering the searched users as a friend group(S203), the messenger server periodically updating data on the registered friend group by using a periodic paging method(S204), the member checking a state or situation of the registered friend group(S205), the member designating one among the friend group(S206), the member selecting one among menus of an ID, a phone call, a memo, a message and a position(S207), the messenger server offering the selected menu to the member(S208).
