PURPOSE:To remove hydrogen at a low cost by making a trace quantity of hydrogen incorporated in air react with oxygen in the air to remove it by a catalyst contg. CONSTITUTION:Air or inert gas compressed by a compressor 1 to raise its temperature to 80-120 deg.C is introduced into a catalytic reactor 2, where it is brought into contact with a catalyst 2a contg. 2-30% silver to make hydrogen react with oxygen in the air or inert gas to form water. Thereafter it is introduced through a cooler 3 into an adsorber 4, where the residual hydrogen is adsorbed and removed to obtain air or inert gas contg. <=0.05ppm hydrogen. |
