The invention relates to an automatic gas burner connected to a natural gas distribution network, employed for preparing the thermal medium, for heating the dwelling spaces and the house water, respectively. According to the invention, the automatic gas burner comprises a cylindrical burner (A) and an automation unit (B) as well as an ignition electrode (16), a standby burner (17) and a thermocouple (18), respectively. The cylindrical burner (A) comprises a flanged frame (5) having fastened thereon, by means of a fastening plate (6) and some rectangular clamps (7), and a screw (8) driven in a rib (e) of the frame (5), respectively, the cylindrical burner (A), the unit (B) and the frame (5), which are protected by a housing (11) having cut on a front wall thereof a window (m) allowing access to an ignition knob (12) and to an adjusting knob (13), both said knobs belonging to the automation unit (B). The lower side of the housing (11) is provided with some air intake slots (k) while the frame (5) has some bosses ( h and i) located on the opposite sides of a square-shaped flange (g) which has some holes (d) cut therein, said holes being confined by a threaded wall as well as a front wall (c), whereon the cylindrical burner (A) and the unit (B) are fastened.
