The invention relates to an electronic circuit for preventing the overshoot of the maximum rated voltage in the electrical equipments with alternator and accumulator. According to the invention, the circuit comprises a voltage comparator (C), which compares the existing voltage with a reference voltage (V REF) which represents the maximum rated voltage of the circuit, and in case of overshoot, a relay (REL) is switched on, thereby switching off the supply circuit of a regulator (RRT) and consequently the alternator excitation, and the relay (REL) maintains its switched on condition through a normal open contact until the mains supply is switched off. A first electroluminiscent diode (LED 1) serially connected with a Zener diode (DZ 2) which makes it light up only if the circuit voltage is higher than or equal to "U". The switching off of the diode (LED 1) while the alternator is operating, is an indication of a faulty operation of the regulator (RRT) or an alternator failure, which results in unloading the accumulator in a time period given by the consumption and the capacity thereof. A second electroluminiscent diode (LED 2) signals the switching off of the excitation circuit due to an overshoot of the maximum rated voltage, thereby indicating the regulator (RRT) failure.
