METHOD FOR APPRAISING WILD GINSENG

PURPOSE: A wild ginseng appraisal method is provided to appraise truth or falsehood, and an age of the wild ginseng, a medicinal herb famous in Korea so that it can offer an object appraisal methodology and a transparent transaction environment of the wild ginseng. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of an appraisal requester recording data on the wild ginseng from a wild ginseng gatherer and requesting an appraisal, an appraisal expert analyzing specifications on the wild ginseng, such as a gathering area, an earth, a flower, a berry, a leaf, a branch or a root while observing the real wild ginseng, the appraisal expert determining truth or falsehood of the wild ginseng based on the request document and the analysis report, the appraisal expert constructing an appraisal report. The age of the wild ginseng can be calculated based on the number of the branches and the leaves. In a case that the appraisal requester requests a scientific appraisal, the method can include additional steps of testing residual agricultural chemicals, heavy metals or earth and issuing a written quality certificate on the requested wild ginseng.
