PURPOSE: A system for integrally managing an avatar on the Internet and a method thereof are provided to make a user use an identical avatar at any time and any place by integrally managing a user's avatar and transmitting the user's avatar to a server which wants to the avatar. CONSTITUTION: An avatar database(16) stores avatar information. A member information database(17) stores member information. A user interface unit(12) is connected to a user's terminal(30) through the Internet, receives information necessary for a member joining process in accordance with a user's request, records the information for a user joining process, receives a user's avatar, and stores the avatar in the avatar database(16) or transmits a user's avatar pre-stored in the avatar database(16) to the user's terminal(30). If the user's avatar is received from an avatar creating server(40), the first businessman interface unit(13) stores the avatar in the avatar database(16) as a corresponding user's avatar. If a transmission of a specific user's avatar is requested from an avatar service server(50), the second businessman interface unit(14) searches an avatar of the corresponding user pre-stored in the avatar database(16) and transmits the avatar to the avatar service server(50). An integrated server(15) manages the member information database(17) and the avatar database(16), and operates the interface units(13,14). |
