Oil extraction from palm dates - by sterilizing the dates in a vacuum before pressing

The dates are arranged in an evacuated chamber and steam or 3-3.5 Kgm/cm2 and 110-135 degrees C is rapidly introduced into the chamber for 10-15 mins. before being rapidly exhausted. Pref. this proces is repeated twice more before the dates are crushed, press filtered, and centrifuged to remove the oil. Bacterial decomposition of the dates and oil is eliminated.
