METHOD FOR PROCESSING GROOVE OF MACHINE CASING BY USING CUTTER

PURPOSE: A groove processing method of a machine casing by using a cutter is provided to reduce working hours by roughing the bore of the casing with a slotting cutter and by forming the groove with lathe-turning. CONSTITUTION: A groove is formed in a machine casing by roughing and lathe turning. A roughing line(3) is formed near a precise cutting line(2), and the precise cutting line is formed in a material(1). The material is cut promptly by a slotting cutter, and a finishing flank(4) is formed by cutting the roughing line. The precise cutting line is processed by cutting with lathe turning. The bore is formed in the machine casing by roughing and the groove is formed by lathe turning. Working hours and expenses are reduced with processing the groove in the bore of the machine casing with roughing and cutting precisely.
