STRESS MONITORING DEVICE FOR AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: A stress monitoring device for aircraft structure is provided to lengthen lifespan of aircraft and prevent accident by monitoring the level of stress in a real time basis. CONSTITUTION: A stress monitoring device comprises a strain gauge disposed at a critical point of an aircraft structure, and which converts a mechanical fine change into an electrical signal and outputs the electrical signal; and an indicator for receiving the electrical signal from the strain gauge and indicates the level of stress of the critical point. The strain gauge includes a base plate(2) having a rear surface(1) formed into an adhesive surface; a metallic foil(3) formed into a thin film onto the base plate, and which outputs the level of external power in an electrical signal by the resistance value varying in accordance with the power applied from an external source; and a gauge lead line(5) connected to an end of the metallic foil.
