PURPOSE: A reciprocal compressor is provided to prevent the compressor body from contacting the casing, while effectively buffering the vibration generated during the operation of the compressor. CONSTITUTION: A reciprocating compressor comprises a casing(11) having an accommodation space; a compressor body(21) accommodated in the casing, which compresses the refrigerant sucked from an external source and discharges the compressed refrigerant to outside; a pair of support rollers(51) disposed at both sides of the compressor body, in such a manner that the rollers are opposed to each other and move integrally with the compressor body; a guide rail unit including an upper guide rail(53) and a lower guide rail(54), which slide-contacts the support rollers, suppresses the compressor body from moving in a vertical direction and guides the compressor body to move in a horizontal direction; and a pair of spring members(59a,59b) interposed between the compressor body and the casing along the lengthwise direction of the guide rail unit, which elastically support the compressor body.
