PURPOSE: A yarn breakage detector of an embroidering machine is provided in which an auxiliary conductive rod and an LED flickering device are disposed at an insulator comprising a yarn breakage detector, a contact groove for contacting with the auxiliary conductive rod is formed at a detecting device, and a proximity switch is connected to the auxiliary conductive rod to detect at a rotary detecting device. Therefore, the detection of yarn breakage is simple, and the repair and maintenance of the detector is quickly achieved to increase quality and productivity of an embroidery fabric. CONSTITUTION: The yarn breakage detector comprises a conductive rod(3,4) between a lower plate(2) and upper plate(2a) on a frame(1), a reverse-prevention supporting rod(5) on the upper plate, and a detecting device(8) with a thread guide(8b), wherein an auxiliary conductive rod(10) is formed at the front of the conductive rod, an LED fixing groove(11) is formed on the front end side of the lower plate to receive an LED flickering device(12), a pair of connecting grooves(13,13a) are formed at the curved connection part of the detecting device to contact with the conductive rod and auxiliary conductive rod, and a proximity switch is connected to the auxiliary conductive rod to cause the LED flickering device to flicker.
