摘要

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to improve the luminance in the both horizontal and vertical directions by transmitting light partially in the light advancing direction and partially after refraction, and restrain the gray scale inversion resulting in the decrease of the luminance when the voltage is increasing. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes a display panel formed of a thin film transistor substrate(712a) and a color filter substrate(712b) for forming a screen, a backlight assembly(720) for providing light to the display panel, and a partial light path changing element(750) provided to the display panel for partially transmitting light in the direction substantially equal to the light advancing direction and partially changing the light advancing direction of the light before transmitting the light, thereby restraining the gray scale inversion by changing the luminance per viewing angle of the screen while passing the light through the display panel.
