PURPOSE: A method for transmitting data packet in a keyphone system is provided to be applied to an other system, easily correspond to an error, and extract new information in a PC by forming a certain protocol between the keyphone system and the PC and packetizing data according to the protocol. CONSTITUTION: In a state in which a PC and a keyphone system connects each other through a communication port(202), an application program of the PC generates PC administration data with the packet type of the first protocol and transmits the generated PC administration data to the second protocol(204). The second protocol adds a header, a trailer, and a checksum to the PC administration data packet transmitted from the first protocol, and transmits the added PC administration data packet to the keyphone system(206). If additional data are not generated, the keyphone system analyzes and processes the PC administration data using information of the first protocol packet and generates a response data packet for returning the processed result(208,210). The keyphone system transmits the generated response data packet to the application program of the PC through the second layer, the first layer, and a designated physical layer(212).
