SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in draining water from filter to level of water cushion above medium, loosening of filter medium with air, full drainage of water from filter, delivery of flushing water and air from below through lower distributing unit; after water surface in filter raises above surface of medium, flushing water is simultaneously fed through upper distributing unit till overflow of flushing water to upper discharge unit, supply of water and air is discontinued, after which flushing water is fed from above through upper distributing unit and is discharged through upper discharge unit.
