PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable modem and a method of voice communication in which a voice communication terminal other than an analog telephone, e.g. an IP telephone of H.323 protocol or a PC mounting an IP telephone application, can be used. SOLUTION: The cable modem (1A) connectable with an IP telephone (3A) controlled by H.323 protocol, a PC (4A) and an analog telephone (2A) controlled by MGCP protocol comprises a section (24) for converting a call control signal of H.323 protocol into a call control signal of MGCP protocol. |
