PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus to balance a stable image and a visual requirement due to size of an outputted image and to perform optimal selection of an image space frequency. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with an image forming means to form an image with at least two or more image space frequencies, a switching means 140 to switch the image space frequencies and an image size acquiring means 120 to acquire the size of the outputted image and the image forming means forms the image by switching the image space frequencies of the outputted image based on the size of the outputted image obtained by the image size acquiring means 120 by the switching means 140.
