PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve toner replenishment by allowing toner to remain around a supply roller even when an amount of toner in a developing toner decreases. SOLUTION: The developing device has a developing roller 21 which is provided so as to rotate in contact with a latent image carrier. The developing device also has the supply roller 22 which supplies one-component toner to the developing roller 21, and an agitator 25 which supplies toner to the supply roller 22. The developing device further has a toner-layer regulating member 23 of a roller shape which is in contact with the developing roller 21 and regulates a toner layer on the developing roller 21 so that the toner layer is a thin layer of a fixed thickness. The toner layer regulating member 23 is disposed below the developing roller 21. In the developing device, the rotating speed of the agitator 25 and the number of blades 25b are set so as to satisfy prescribed conditions. |
