PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrifying member excellently and certainly electrifying a photosensitive drum even in the case of being continuously operated for long time under high temperature and high humidity surroundings and certainly obtaining a clear picture without producing a streaky defective picture caused by defective electrification of the photosensitive drum. SOLUTION: In the electrifying member electrifying a body to be electrified by being brought into contact with the body to be electrified and by applying voltage in between, the electrifying member to be provided is characterized by having at least a surface brought into contact with the body to be electrified constructed with a surface layer composed of a resin composition containing hydrophobic powder such as silica powder subjected to hydrophobicity imparting treatment and fluorinated resin powder.
