PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide information of not only by sound but also by characters for effectively utilizing an existing system for coping with the sound. SOLUTION: In a conversation scenario definition information data base 5, conversation scenario definition information, defining the scenario of a conversation formed by combining detailed conversation sequence patterns used by the existing system coping with the sound, is registered. A contents generating processing part 15 automatically generates contents for information display, by combining a prescribed picture template, a screen fixed explanation and the pertinent provision information of a text form taken out from a text form provision information data base 11, on the basis of the conversation scenario definition information corresponding to an operation from a portable telephone 9. The contents are displayed at the portable telephone 9, and thus the information is provided by the characters.
