APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING GRANULAR SLAG

PURPOSE: An apparatus for manufacturing granular slag is provided to effectively atomize molten slag, prevent recoagulation of slag in slag pan by effectively cooling the granular slag, effectively oxidize metallic constituents outflowed such as slag so that the metallic constituents become slag, and use the granular slag as a secondary resource. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus comprising a hollow vertical cylindrical casing(10') at the upper part of which a tundish(12') for forming a conical channel(12a') is formed, and at the lower part of which a slag outlet(15') is formed; a slit(20') having long hole formed at the lower side of the tundish(12') of the casing(10'); a crushing tool(30') comprising a plurality of slit type air injection nozzles(32') inclined downward from the lower side of the tundish(12') of the casing(10'), a plurality of air injection nozzles(32') directed upward from the lower side of the casing(10') and a blower(34') for injecting high pressure air to the air injection nozzles(32') in order to primarily and secondarily crush slag (S') dropped to the lower part through the tundish(12'); and a slag pan(40') for receiving finely granulated slag from the lower part of the slag outlet(15') so that the apparatus manufactures small granular slag from molten slag, the small granular slag manufacturing apparatus further comprises an oxygen supplying device(50') comprising a nozzle mounted on one side of the lower part of the slag outlet(15') in a circumferential direction of the casing(10') and a blower(54') for supplying oxygen to the nozzle so that the oxygen supplying device(50') oxidizes thus removes metallic constituents by supplying oxygen into the finely granulated slag.
