PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery and a manufacturing method of the secondary battery improved in the structure of the fixed part of a positive electrode tap and a cap plate, as well as in the structure of a connection part between a safety vent and a gasket in the order, to completely secure a closed space inside the battery. SOLUTION: This secondary battery comprises a battery part 31, having a positive electrode plate 31a, a negative electrode plate 31b and a separator 31c interposed between the positive electrode plate 31a and negative electrode plate 31b; a can 32 for accommodating the battery part 31; and a cap assembly 35 connected to the upper part of the can 32 and having a cap cover 36, the safety vent 39 and the gasket 310; and the end part of the safety vent 39 is bent inward, and the gasket 310 formed along the outer peripheral surface of the safety vent 39 is integrally fixed to the safety vent 39, while being embedded into the bent end part. |
