New compositions for the oxidative dyeing of keratin fibres, particularly human hair, comprise a substituted primary oxidation base consisting of a substituted paraphenylenediamine with a pyrrolidinyl group, a secondary oxidation base consisting of a substituted paraaminophenol and a substituted metadihydroxybenzene as coupler. The composition includes the following components in a suitable dyeing medium: (1) a paraphenylenediamine derivative of formula (I); (2) a paraaminophenol of formula (II); and (3) and a 1,3-dihydroxybenzene coupler, which may be substituted by a benzenic ring or one or more substituents from alkyl, alkoxy, amino, monoalkyamino, dialkylamino, halogen, -COOH and -SO3H. The latter may be substituted by one or more OH groups or their addition salt with an acid or base. R1 = H, or a 1- 7C hydrocarbyl chain, saturated or containing one or more double and/or triple bonds or forming a 3 - 6C ring, one or more C atoms replaceable by O, N, S, SO2 or halogen : the radical cannot include peroxide, diazo, nitro or nitroso groups; R2 = OH, OR, a group -NR4R5; R = 1 - 4C alkyl substituted by one or more of halogen, 1 - 2C alkoxy, amino, 1 - 2C aminoalkyl or a 3 -4C radical substituted by hydroxyl; n, m = 0-2; R4, R5 = H or 1 - 4C alkyl substituted as above), acetoxy or acetamido; and R3 = halogen or a 1 - 7C hydrocarbyl chain, saturated or containing one or more double and/or triple bonds or forming a 3 - 6C ring, one or more C atoms replaceable by O, N, S, SO2 or halogen. The radical cannot include peroxide, diazo, nitro or nitroso groups. Independent claims are also included for: (1) the process of application of the dye composition; and (2) a multi-compartment kit for containing composition and oxidant. |
