PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of diminishing erroneous detection which is caused by size tolerances of toner cartridges and an image forming device main body and improper setting, and capable of cutting off extra mounting space. SOLUTION: The image forming device having the toner cartridges 17 which can be detached from the image forming device main body is provided with a memory means which communicates with the image forming device main body while the toner cartridges 17 are kept attached to the image forming device main body. The image forming device main body detects the toner cartridge by the communication between the image forming device main body and the memory means. |
