PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with the input of information about a protective relay, by enabling an accident point locater to locate the accident point, based on only the output signal of a pressure sensor. SOLUTION: This locator detects (13 and 14) the shock waves generated by pressure waves being reflected within a container on the occurrence of an arc, at the same time, when it detects (11 and 12) the rise of gas pressure by means of a gas pressure sensor 7 provided in each gas section. Then, this determines the gas section where the accident has occurred, from the timing of pressure rise and the occurrence of shock waves. This can locate the accident point by one gas pressure sensor, so that this eliminates the need for using information about a protective relay, and this becomes the accident point locating apparatus which is simple in structure and is easy of installation work. Moreover, to simplify the circuit constitution, the accident point determination by detection of shock waves can be realized. |
