PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the adverse effect of heat generated by a fixing device even when a device is made small-sized. SOLUTION: The image forming device, equipped with a fixing device 11 which heats and fixes on a form H a toner image transferred onto the form H from the top surface of a photoreceptor drum 2 by an electrostatic transfer system and a waste toner container 7A which stores waste toner collected from the top surface of the photoreceptor drum 2, calculates the amount of the stored waste toner from the print rate of forms and the number of prints and switches the set temperature of the fixing device 11 to a low-temperature side when the calculated amount of the stored waste toner exceeds a specific value. |
