<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel supporting device allowing proper lane change. SOLUTION: The travel supporting device for supporting the driving operation of a driver of a vehicle A when performing lane change while thrusting itself between two vehicles B, C traveling in the next lane supports accelerating/ decelerating operation of the vehicle A so as to control its speed using one of two vehicles B, C, whichever faster, as a reference. Thus, the lane change of the vehicle A causes no interruption of the course of the other vehicles B, C and the speed of the lane-changing vehicle A is prevented from being excessively lower.</p> |
