<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for retaining a solid-state image pickup element unit capable of surely holding the solid-state image pickup element unit even when the materials of a mirror tube main body are changed to harder ones and a frame body of the mirror tube main body is thinned by forming a pressing chip to press the solid-state image pickup element unit along a side opposite to a reference side of the solid-state image pickup element unit. SOLUTION: The solid-state image pickup element unit 54 is engaged in a frame body part 56 formed in a fixing tube 24. The solid-state image pickup element unit 54 engaged in the frame body part 56 is pressed and held by the pressing chips 60, 62, 64. The pressing chips 60, 62, 64 are formed along the side 54e opposite to the reference side 54b of the solid-state image pickup element 54 or along the side 54c opposite to the reference side 54d.</p> |
