PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television doorphone in which the image of a visitor during absence can be confirmed and the visitor can be responded quickly after the image is confirmed through connection with a slave unit equipped with a camera. SOLUTION: When a call switch 15 is depressed, the control section 20 of a monitor master unit 2 makes an image file from the image data of a visitor picked up by means of a camera 10, makes a home page for a portable telephone terminal 6 linked with that image file and the home telephone number and forwards that home page to the WWW server of ISP 4, makes an e-mail describing the URL of that home page and the visitor information, and transmits the e-mail to a preset portable telephone terminal 6 through a channel interface section 33. Upon receiving a call subsequently, input of a cipher number or processing content is requested and if the cipher number matches a preset one, connection is made with a slave unit 1 equipped with a camera according to the processing content.
