PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, though position sensors are usually mounted on a stator, distortion of detected waveforms occurs in such cases as when their shape, structural restrictions and the like result in poor mounting accuracy of not being arranged every 120 degrees or when position cannot be detected so that is leads to hunting of number of revolutions, deterioration of efficiency, overcurrent breaking by current increase and the like, and to the inability of securing stable operations. SOLUTION: This driving system is provided with 'n' pieces ('n': an integer of 1 or larger) of position detectors that output position signals having a certain positional relation to an induced voltage of a synchronous motor; a position signal change-over means that changes the number of the position signals to be used by selecting position signals to be used in accordance with operating conditions of the 'n' pieces of positional signals that are outputted from the 'n' pieces of position detectors; and an electric motor diver that impresses a voltage to the windings of the synchronous motor to drive it based on a waveform forming means that forms conducting waveforms of the synchronous motor from the positional signals selected by the position signal change-over means. |
