PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information inputting system and method which can achieve a high recognition rate and high reliability by using pressure and visual feedback. SOLUTION: This information inputting method of a computer system equipped with a virtual keyboard comprises: a process for detecting the movement information of the hands and fingers of a person; a process for deciding the positions of the hands and fingers by analyzing the movement information detected by the process; a process for displaying the shape of an input device of a prescribed shape on the visual keyboard on the screen on the basis of the positions of the hands and fingers decided by the process; and a process for, when information is inputted according to the shape of the input device in the prescribed shape displayed by the process, pressing the keyboard with the finger pertinent to the position where the information is inputted. Thus, it is possible to realize a high recognition rate and high reliability without requiring any training process. Also, it is possible to quickly and accurately input information through visual feedback, and to realize the reliable information input by applying an input confirmation signal through pressure feedback to a user. |
