PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method capable of giving a printing resistant image having satisfactory image strength and excellent also in image reproducibility when a photopolymerizable photosensitive planographic printing plate is exposed with infrared laser light to form an image. SOLUTION: In the image forming method, the photosensitive layer of a photosensitive planographic printing plate obtained by forming the photosensitive layer comprising a photopolymerizable composition on the surface of a base is subjected to scanning exposure with laser beam in the wavelength range of 650-1,300 nm, developed and wholly post-exposed with exposure energy <=50 times the energy in the scanning exposure with the laser beam. |
