PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery capable of improving the characteristics by selecting a binder for a negative electrode. SOLUTION: A negative electrode 22 has a negative electrode mix layer 22b, having a negative electrode material capable of occluding and eliminating lithium, a polymer having a diene structure as a binding agent, and a cellulose derivative as the thickener. The high molecule, having the diene structure, for example, a styrene-butadiene copolymer has superior binding property, but it is difficult to be used singly, in a coating film because of its aggregation to the negative electrode material. By combining cellulose derivative, such as carboxymethyl cellulose, the negative electrode mix is provided with proper viscosity when it is used as the slurry, whereby the binding agent of diene structure can be dispersed. |
