<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generating system, capable of forming the realis tic image of a displayed object, such as flames with few processing load, a program, and an information storage medium. SOLUTION: Alpha (α) values of PL1 to 4 are set and theαcompositing processing for PL1 to 4 are performed, according to the polygons of an objects OB formed of polygons PL1 to 4, disposed radially from a reference line and a relative directional relation (angleθ) in the direction of a virtual camera VC. The polygon is made transparent, as the direction of the virtual camera becomes parallel with the polygons. Theαvalue of an apex is obtained, based on the representativeαvalue of the polygon, to which the apex belongs. A common flame texture is used for the polygons PL1 to 4. A base polygon, crossing the polygons PL1 to 4, is provided, and theαvalue of the base polygon is set, according to the relative directional relation between the polygon and the direction of the virtual camera VC. The drawing order of the polygons PL1 to 4 is determined, according to the relative directional relation between the polygon and the direction of the virtual camera.</p> |
